Dublin Holiday 9th – 14th June 2024

Six days and five nights of fun await you on our Ireland holiday next year.  Enjoy two full days in the heart of Dublin, the most vibrant of cities.  Explore its amazing history and when you need a break cross the Halfpenny Bridge to the Temple Bar area where each pub provides live music daily.  Its a city well known for its craic and its friendly folk.             With so many attractions Dublin will captivate you and Molly Malone will bring a twinkle to the eye of all who see her!!

Outside the city enjoy a visit to the Irish National Stud Farm and see if you can spot the next Grand National winner; take a trip around Dublin Bay and enjoy rejuvenating sea breezes.  Wander around Malahide Castle, check out the Japanese Gardens and don’t forget the lovely towns of Bray and Kildare.  There’s something to tempt everyone.

Murder Mystery Break – 2nd Feb 2024

Join us for a weekend break in Caernarfon, Gwynedd next February.  The hectic days of Christmas will be a long ago memory so a short break is just what we need to lift our spirits!

Our three day half board break includes visits to Llandudno, Beaumaris, a guided tour of Anglesey and the Eryri Mountains.  The break is on a half board basis with two free drinks and entertainment provided on the first night and a happy hour bar.  On our second night we’ll be able to get our little gray cells working as we try to solve a murder mystery!!        On our way home we will be stopping in Ruthin where we will enjoy a Sunday lunch at the Ruthin Castle Hotel.                                     Booking  will open at  09:30 on Tuesday  6th June. Dorset Holiday 3rd – 8th September

Join us on our six day break to Dorset this coming September.  We will be staying at the Riviera Hotel on the front at Bournemouth on a half board basis.  Our break will include a homage to Thomas Hardy as a local guide takes us around the places that Thomas set his wonderful novels.  We will sail along the Jurassic coast casting envious looks at the houses of the rich on Sandbanks and say hi to Brownsea Island and Old Harry’s Rocks as we make our way to Poole Harbour. “Lest  We  Forget”

 After a hot sultry day the cooling evening breeze gave relief as we walked through Ypres towards the Menin gate.  The magnificent Cloth Hall towered above the busy square where people laughed, joked and enjoyed their evening meals in the cafes and bars of the city.
The glorious cathedral stood proudly, dominating the city; it looked as though it had always been there but just over 100 years ago the impressive city had been reduced to rubble.

North – East England Holiday

The ‘Kynren’

Recently we took a holiday to the North-East of England, a land of castles and cathedrals; myths and legends.   It was a holiday that turned out to be memorable for many reasons.   First we were practically drowned at Housteads Roman Fort when the heavens decided to fill the reservoirs of the North in one morning;.  Wet through took on a different meaning when it really did mean getting your vest soaked!!  Secondly, two people went down with Covid so that masks and sanitisers came back into our lives.  Our precautions didn’t give us much defence though as twelve people succumbed in total!!
