A garden visit to Bodnant Garden National Trust has been arranged for Wednesday 16th May 2018. Born in the gentle hills east of the River Conwy, the garden’s beauty is complemented by the stunning, panoramic views across the river to the Mountains of Snowdonia and the perfect place for a wonderful and enjoyable day out for everyone. The garden’s beauty is stunning with rhododendrons, magnolias, camellias and azaleas. The Garden’s most famous feature is the stunning, yellow cascade of the Laburnum Arch – hoping it’s flowering for our visit. There is also a cafe and gift shop.
We will first stop at Tweedmill for time to look around and maybe for morning coffee.
Cost of trip – NT members £14 Non NT members £24.
Depart Maghull Square – 9 am. Return 6 pm approx
The Malvern Spring Flower Show
We have arranged a weekend break to Gloucestershire staying a The Mercure Bowden Hall Hotel on a Dinner/bed and Breakfast. We will visit the show on the Saturday – this should be a interesting and pleasant weekend break
Friday 11th May 2018 departing at Maghull Square at 9.00am and returning on Monday 14th May 2018 at Maghull Square 6pm approx.

Wednesday 25th April
Harewood House was built in the 18th Century and is owned by David and Diane Lascelles, the Earl and Countess of Harewood.
We will visit the house, which has art collections and furniture made by Thomas Chippendale. Harewood has 100 acres of award-winning gardens and has been visited by Alan Titchmarsh, who particularly liked the Himalayan Garden and commented that it was second to none in the UK. Continue reading
Wednesday, 14th March 2018 Trentham Garden and The World of Wedgwood. We will visit Trentham Garden Estate for a browse and we have also arranged a visit to the award winning World of Wedgwood museum and factory tour to see how the beautiful ceramics are created. We can then enjoy afternoon tea/coffee and cream scone (included in cost of trip) also time to look around the factory shop. This should be an interesting and enjoyable day out.

21st November: Step into an enchantingwonderland at Chatsworth House decorated for Christmas and the theme this year is “THE NUTCRACKER”. We will also be free to visit the Christmas Markets with the many stalls selling an array of Christmas goodies and foods.
Before visiting Chatsworth itself, we will call at the Chatsworth Farm Shop for morning coffee/tea or breakfast etc., with time to browse the wonderful array of Christmas foods, and take in the wonderful views of Derbyshire.
Your ticket covers entrance to Chatsworth, the Christmas Markets, and the gardens if you so wish.

Norman Conway’s amazing garden with its many surprising features and tropical plants was open again for the last time this year. The weather was good and although attendance was down on last year the event raised over £500 for Clatterbridge Cancer Research. Norman thanks everyone for their donations and support.
