Book Club Trip to Bronte Country (Haworth)

Join some of the members of the Book Club on a trip to the birthplace of the Bronte sisters, Haworth on Thursday 11th June. We have chosen to celebrate the writing of the Bronte sisters this year. Haworth is an attractive village with a steep, cobbled Main Street where you can browse the many independent shops, bars and restaurants.

Visit the Bronte Parsonage, the former home of the sisters, Charlotte, Emily and Anne now a Museum dedicated to their lives. You can also visit St. Michaels and All Angels Church where Patrick Bronte was curate.

The Bronte Waterfalls are 30 minutes from the village or take one of the walking routes around the village that inspired Wuthering Heights. These routes can be muddy and slippy so appropriate walking shoes are required.

The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway has a station in Haworth where you can board a steam train for a round trip to Keighley. The trains run quite frequently from the village and a Rover ticket costs £19.20.

Cost of the trip from Maghull Square by coach is £23 (dependant on 30 participants) and the cost of the Parsonage Museum is £13 for those who want to visit as a group. You can book individually if you prefer.
Book and pay for the trip at the Coffee Morning
