The next outing for the Rambling Group will be on Thursday 2nd April. This will be a 7 mile circuit at Rivington Pike and is classed as a moderate walk. Climb to the pike itself mounts 70 steps. The group has capacity for new members who are relatively fit walkers and have the correct walking gear for safety sake. If you are interested in joining our next walk please contact for joining instructions and details of car sharing.

The group is currently open for members of all standards, including complete beginners.

For those who have put your name down for the The Fat Italian in April we have been advised that the restaurant changes their menu each month so currently we do not have either their Menu for April or the cost. We will receive this early April but as there is no coffee morning on 7th you will need to call on Tuesday 14th April and choose your menu and pay.
Members to note that the coach leaves Maghull Square at 8.30am prompt , please arrive in time to board coach to allow for departure

With Easter knocking on our doors this might be the time to send out a reminder that, as per usual, our Coffee Morning will be suspended on the 7th of April.

We will start our day with a visit to the popular town of Beaumaris in Anglesey. Set on the Menai Straits with views across to impressive Snowdonia. Plenty to do here. There is the imposing, still unfinished Castle to visit, the Gaol which is now an interesting Museum, a stroll along the Promenade which runs alongside the Straits. Plenty of choice for the all important coffee/lunch breaks. Nice choice of individually owned shops. Then we will board the Sea Safari boat for a trip on the Menai Straits together with a commentary. Passing through wonderful countryside, under the two iconic bridges and through “The Swellies”. You are welcome to bring a picnic, snacks on board.
