New Day Trip

We will start our day with a visit to Harrogate, a town in North Yorkshire. Its’ heritage as a fashionable Spa Resort and popular tourist town, is well renowned. The Royal Pump Rooms and Museum, Mercury Art Gallery and range of quirky shops are to be found in the Montpellier district together with  a range of coffee bars, tea rooms for the all important elevenses. Don’t miss Betty’s Tea Rooms where all the in crowd are to be found. The beautiful Valley Gardens and the big central public space called The Stray are not to be missed. After spending an interesting morning here THEN just 4 miles north we will be visiting Nidd Hall, a popular Warners Hotel. Set in 45 acres of lush parkland, this magnificent Grade 11 listed building was built in the 1920s for a wealthy Bradford wool merchant. Soak up the grandeur, explore the grounds and facilities and partake in a delicious afternoon tea, tea/coffee and a glass of Prosecco.

New Day Trip – Wed.17th June 2026

Today we will be visiting the popular Town of Bala, set in the Snowdonia National Park and close to Lake Bala which is the largest natural lake in Wales. For the walkers there are lovely walks at the water’s edge and the Lake Bala Railway runs narrow gauge trains (£16.50 return) Bala is an interesting town with a good choice of Artisan Food Shops specialising in Welsh Food and Drink and local produce, Craft Shops etc many individually owned, there is no shortage of coffee/lunch stops either and don’t miss Arran Ice Cream Shop.THEN we are off to meet Erin at Pandy Farm. Erin is a 4th generation young Farmer. She has won BBC’s One Man and his Dog and is often on TV.  She will demonstrate her skills with her lovely sheep dogs, they even herd ducks, followed by a talk about the value and processes of wool. We will finish with tea/coffee and home made, on the farm, Welsh Cakes. There is a Farm Shop and area selling local crafts.

New Day Trip – 13th May 2026

We will start our day with a visit to the popular town of Beaumaris in Anglesey. Set on the Menai Straits with views across to impressive Snowdonia. Plenty to do here. There is the imposing, still unfinished Castle to visit, the Gaol which is now an interesting Museum, a stroll along the Promenade which runs alongside the Straits. Plenty of choice for the all important coffee/lunch breaks. Nice choice of individually owned shops.  Then we will board the Sea Safari boat for a trip on the Menai Straits together with a commentary. Passing through wonderful countryside, under the two iconic bridges and through “The Swellies”. You are welcome to bring a picnic, snacks on board.
