New Day Trip – Lytham 40’s day

Back again by popular request. It’s becoming our annual outing and why not when it has so much to offer? Set on the large open green space on Lytham front there is an entertainment/licensed marquee, re enactments, parades, dancing in Clifton Sq (do your jitterbugging) lots of people in lovely 40’s fashions, authentic uniforms, stalls, food/drink, even Winston makes an appearance etc.etc. The ancient Windmill is open to the public to visit on the Green as is the Heritage Centre. If you fancy a tram ride along the front to St.Annes or Blackpool it’s all possible. Most importantly, don’t forget to visit Clifton Street, the main Street in Lytham, which has a good variety of individually owned shops, some of which and their staff are dressed for the occasion plus there is a good selection of Cafes, Bars etc. Plenty of choice to eat.

WHEN? Saturday 15th August 2026. Depart 9.15am Ret 6ish from/to Maghull Sq. Seats are on sale     PRICE:   £13  (compare our price to other local trips £23) NB if you are paying cash the right money would be appreciated
