Yorkshire tea party enjoyed by all

A brilliant day in York  yesterday with Art Appreciation group, well done to all who managed the  early start.

First visit St Michael Le Belfry Church, history art and architecture

Second a photo opportunity outside Guy Fawkes home, well it was still standing when we left.

Third amazing tribute to Vincent Van Gogh in the now deconsecrated church of St Mary, we were literally immersed in the art , which covered every available space, even our faces.

The V. R experience (a fist time for some of our group, a few of whom were slightly apprehensive to say the least) was the highlight of the trip. In fact a few enjoyed the experience so much they did it twice.

Now that’s a first but hopefully not the last.

A day to be remembered.  A comment by Van Gogh

There is an artist in everyone, just waiting to be given birth

To which I wholeheartedly agree.

Bye for now.   Maureen
