Foodie Group programme for 2016

The Foodie Group met for a mince pies and mulled wine/Christmas tea. Recipes were shared for different types of mince pies, where possible.

Next year’s calendar was reviewed, as the dates previously agreed clashed with other groups.  The Foodie Group will in future meet on the third Thursday in the month where possible.  See below.

The group have had a busy time in 2015 sampling many cuisines from around the world.  It was decided to finish our travelling in January by going to a Chinese.  In 2016 we will concentrate on the British Isle. Margaret Kendall very kindly agreed to take over the leadership for 12 months with assistance from Pat McGuire.  Group members showed their support by agreeing to share the workload and will take the lead on at least one session during the year.

  1. I look forward to leading the group with the help of Pat and the other foodie group members. Brenda has done a great job leading the group for the last three years and will be a hard act to follow!
