Pedal Pushers

New Cycling Group formed

We have two very successful cycling groups, who go on enjoyable  bike rides every Monday.  However, there are members who would like to take part but have not been on a bike for many years and do not have the confidence at this moment to join Easy Riders. Owing to the popularity of Easy Riders, they would struggle to take on new members, due to the problems of getting on trains with a large number of  bikes.

This is were Ross Adams from Active Sefton comes in. He has started a beginners group which will initially meet at Litherland Sports Park. The 12 people in the group have joined the Freewheeling Scheme which means they will be able to access bikes and helmets free from 6 centres in Sefton.

Ross will work with individuals to build their confidence and long term it is hoped the group will undertake a 10 mile bike ride.  This will be our activity for the 10 year birthday celebration.    So watch this space.  The group are so keen to get going they are meeting before Christmas, so by the New Year the group should be up and riding!!!!
