Ramblers in West Kirkby

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Thirteen ramblers arrived at West Kirby station on a very mild November day and proceeded to walk along the Wirral way.  Trees in their Autumnal colours, with lots of leaves falling, passing some very nice properties overlooking the Dee estuary and the North Wales coast, we arrived at the Thurstaston visitor centre for a coffee break.

We continued on the old railway line until turning off for Heswall fields, taking us down to the beach for a look at the various boats. Then we picked up the King Charles III coastal path, taking us along the cliffs over Thurstason beach and couple of occasions, down on to the beach.  A brief rain shower brought out the wet gear but it soon passed and we were again in sunshine. At the boat club we retrieved the coastal path, arriving back in West Kirby, having walked 8.5 miles. Wetherspoon provided a welcome meal.
