There are a couple of places available for the October Supper Club. Thursday 16th October 6.00pm at the Hanover Street Social in Liverpool. Menu and price available at the Coffee Morning on Tuesday.
The Gallery has been closed for a few years for refurbishment. This is the first Exhibition. It is very popular so booking at desk is essential.
Nick Parks is a local lad and a brilliant Artist. We are hoping for a visit in early December ( DTBC ) I will update post when date and cost are confirmed.

Don’t miss The BBC One Show tomorrow (Wednesday) at 7pm. Maghull is one of 3 finalists for the work done in The Dell. It’s a competition about transforming a derelict public space into something positive. Let’s hope all that hard work and dedication from the volunteers gets recognition THEY WON! CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL WHO CONTRIBUTED THEIR TIME AND EFFORT. WE’VE NOW GOT STATION OF THE YEAR AWARD AND THE GROWING TOGETHER AWARD 2025 FOR THE DELL. BRILLIANT.
Table Games is changing times.
Due to reduced numbers and increased charges, we will be ‘room sharing’ with Beginners Bridge from Monday 6th October at 1pm
We will review costs, but it’s likely that £2 per session will cover the booking.
Our next Ramble will be to Ribchester on the 2nd October

November 13th Browns in Liverpool at 6.00 pm
Cost: 2 courses £19.50 3 courses £24.50

Our venues for the winter months will be more locally based.
We can only accept bookings with full payment – unfortunately due to the heavy demand places can only be reserved with the payment.
Our talk on Wednesday will cover the chemistry and science of various compounds that lead from artificial colours to poison gases. Interested? Come along for a hopefully enlightening presentation.
Sep 24 – Red to Gold and Prussian Blue
If you have an interest in technology and science then give us a try. The venue is Kensington House from 2:30. All u3a members are welcome.
I have arranged to visit the Palm House in Sefton Park where we will have a guided tour and then tea/coffee and cake afterwards (£13 per member)
We will then either drive or walk to 25 Aigburth Drive (this is a Kadampa Temple like the one in Ulverston that we visited) but not as ornate, as this one is housed in a large house (£6 per member)
There will be a talk on the Buddhist Discipline that Kadampa follow, followed by a Meditation lasting approx. 1 hour
Members can either make their own way to the Palm House or take a return “taxi service” from Maghull Square (£10 per member)
