Liverpool Art Fair is BACK for 2025!

This will be our fourth visit to this wonderful eclectic exhibition.

Liverpool Art Fair is back at the iconic Royal Liver Building this summer, continuing its mission to make art accessible to everyone. Since 2012, the event has welcomed over 60,000 art lovers and showcased nearly 2,500 artists, proving that great art doesn’t have to break the bank.

Meet at Maghull station 11.00 am train to Old Hall St. Short stroll to venue.

Nice cafe on site. Booking at Art Appreciation desk with Maureen or Jan .

The Whitaker Museum is a lovely, quirky Museum which has been part of the cultural life of the Rossendale Valley for over one hundred years.  Set in the beautiful Whitaker Park in Rawtenstall.  A traditional and contemporary Museum Art / Gallery  but with a modern twist.

Afternoon visit to Temperance Bar as seen in Hairy Bikers show. Seven tasting to take us back to our childhood.

Leaving Maghull Square 8.45 am prompt.

Total cost £40.         Lunch at cafe.not included in cost

Dawn to Dusk .  Jim Moir  is Vic Reeves

Art has always remained his first love and his original, eccentric and mischievous artwork has been exhibited at institutions including the Royal Academy in London.

The anarchy and wonderful eccentricity for which he is synonymous is evident in his bold, vibrant and often surreal artworks which merge his interest in the natural world and his witty imagination.

‘Moir is a compulsive artist, recording his thoughts and observations with abandon. The imagined and experienced worlds are chronicled in a prolific outpouring of ideas and thoughts beyond everyday life.’

We are visiting  early August DTBC with Lady Lever Gallery, Port Sunlight.

Friday 13th June

The Whitaker Museum is a lovely, quirky Museum which has been part of the cultural life of the Rossendale Valley for over one hundred years.  Set in the beautiful Whitaker Park in Rawtenstall, it’s a great day out for all.  A traditional and contemporary Museum Art Gallery  but with a modern twist.

We will be visiting the Art Gallery in the morning with a tour costing £5.00 (based on 25 members)

There is a nice cafe on site for a bite of lunch if required before we visit  The Temperance Bar which is the only remaining non alcoholic bar in Britain, as seen on the Hairy Bikers Show. We will be visiting the Bar in the afternoon – cost £4.95 including  seven tastings.

Along with the cost of the coach the trip will cost £40

Leaving Maghull Square 8.45 am  prompt, return around 5 p.m

We have provisionally booked 10 tickets @ £19.35  if we require more we will have to book them quickly as they are selling fast
