The Whitaker Museum is a lovely, quirky Museum which has been part of the cultural life of the Rossendale Valley for over one hundred years.  Set in the beautiful Whitaker Park in Rawtenstall, it’s a great day out for all.  A traditional and contemporary Museum Art Gallery  but with a modern twist.

We will be visiting the Art Gallery in the morning with a tour costing £5.00 (based on 25 members)

There is a nice cafe on site for a bite of lunch if required before we visit  The Temperance Bar which is the only remaining non alcoholic bar in Britain, as seen on the Hairy Bikers Show. We will be visiting the Bar in the afternoon – cost £4.95 including  seven tastings.

Along with the cost of the coach the trip will cost £40

Leaving Maghull Square 8.45 am  prompt, return around 5 p.m

This is a very small exhibition with just a few exhibits.

Love it or hate it you may like to stroll around John Moore previous winners collection ( which is always good for a debate) before the next exhibition winner is installed as we will be viewing this later this year.
We’ll be interested in hearing your views.
