Arrangements are in hand to visit the former Art Deco Liverpool Airport (now Crowne Plaza Hotel) and the Heritage Aircraft Museum We will have a tour internally at the hotel where we will be able to view lots of interesting art and posters from when the building was Speke Aerodrome and the original staircase which goes to the first floor , A further guided tour will include probably the hangar which is currently used by the David Lloyd Leisure Group as well as the exterior of the terminal building including some detail on the terminal building and the glazing detail on the front of the hangar , we may do an exterior walk around the second hangar which is used by the Very Shopping Group.
I have arranged for a soup and sandwich lunch (4 sandwich choices) , members can pay extra for tea/coffee or a soft/alcoholic drink
We will then be shown around the Aircraft Collection and original airfield layout , if any member so wishes they can “fly the simulator” at extra cost
Cost is £32 per member which includes return taxi transfer from Maghull Square , tour cost and lunch See George or Jeff to book a place and pay to guarantee a place
Oops! Sorry….. the font size could hardly have been bigger!
I’m interested, but there’s no date shown. Can you let me know when this trip is going to take place, please?
