Making the most of the better weather, twenty six walkers (and three dogs) met at St Michaels station and made our way to Sefton Park via Lark Lane. Trip to London

The provisional dates for the trip to London are from Wednesday 13th July, staying for 2 nights and returning home on Friday 15th July.  The cost will be approximately £310.00 per person, plus VAT depending on how many people go.

A deposit of £75.00 per person will be paid when booking.

The cost will include::

Return travel from Maghull.

2 nights bed and breakfast at St Giles Hotel, Tottenham Court Road.

Excursions to: The GlobeTheatre Tour and The Legal Tour and the Old Bailey

A further wine tasting “Wines from the Lake Garda Area” will take place on Thursday 21st April 2022 at Winetime at Scatchards on Derby Road

Bodrydden Hall and Grosvenor Garden Centre

Bodrydden Hall and Grosvenor Garden Centre Wednesday,27th April 2022

The first stop will be the Grosvenor Garden Centre, we will have time for morning tea/coffee and a look around the beautiful plants and gifts this garden centre has to offer.  We will then travel to Bodrydden Hall, North Wales a most beautiful, stunning Grade 1 listed Stately home which has remained in the same family for 500 years steeped in both history and beauty.  This being the home of Lord Langford and his family.   The hall boasts of over several hundred acres of gardens, parkland and woodland, so there is plenty to explore.  There is also a tearoom selling light refreshments.

Cost of trip –  £22.

Depart Maghull Square. – 9.00am.    Return Maghull Square- 5.00-5.30pm approx

Red Kite and Elan Valley Tour

ARCHITECTURE FOR FUN

On Wednesday 18th May we are arranging a visit to Elan Valley Ranger Station at Rhayader, Powys,  where a ranger will join us on the coach for a 2 hour tour of the hidden secrets of the  area  including  a tour inside the Pen y Garreg Dam (Refreshments will be available at the Station at members own cost)We will then continue to Gigrin Farm , the “Red Kite Feeding Centre” where we will set up in a “hide” and watch the feeding of Red Kites (I believe 100’s of them).Due to the distance we will need an early departure from Maghull Square at 7.45am

The cost  £35, this will decrease if 40 members book the tour  ONLY 7 PLACES LEFT
