Hello. Trust you all had a really nice Christmas with a good selection of nice
pressies. Well here it is New Year’s Eve again.! What lies ahead of us this year? Can you believe it will be two years in February since this mayhem started? Let’s just hope it is now near to finishing. Well our u3a recommences on the 11th January and hope to see you there for a chat and coffee (free) In view of the ongoing uncertainty that we have at the moment with the Omicron version, Day Trips will not be organising any days out for the time being. Normally, we resume our trips in February but this time it is looking like it will be March. This is a sorry state of affairs I know and we will keep the situation under review in case circumstances change for the more positive. In the meantime, we would like to wish you all a very Happy, Peaceful and importantly a Healthy 2022.

January Ramble
The first ramble of the year will be a 8-9 mile circular walk in the Hoylake area. This will be on Thursday 6th January commencing at 11am from Hoylake. The route takes in fields, tracks and some roads and will inevitably be muddy given the recent rains. Please wear appropriate footwear. A meal has been booked at a local pub at the end of the walk. Regular walkers already have full details, but if anyone else wishes to join us please contact me by email before the day, (pollypaws 46@gmail.com) All participants are asked to take a lateral flow test the evening before the ramble.
Have a safe Christmas everyone
Well we all wish sometimes, a dandelion is as good as anything else to wish upon.
Take care – Maureen xx

Digital cameras – Open
Hi everyone, we had the last meeting of this year last Monday (13/12)
It’s been a challenging year at the U3A with the Covid and the lockdown.
Numbers attending groups have been down and some unfortunately had to close.
Pete and myself like to thank all members that attended the Camera club meetings this year. By doing so you are keeping the Digital Camera club running.

Sunday walkers – 05th December
Hope you enjoyed the walk today, nearly 5 miles from Aughton station. We strolled along Long Lane, Blackmoss Lane , New Lane then over to Catherine’s Lane into Croppers Lane. At Poppy’s Lane we turned right through the farm down to Graveyard Lane. We stopped and saw the Friends Burial Ground (Quakers -1665) then walked through Graveyard farm following the footpath over a small bridge up to the Moor Hall estate. Then left onto Prescot Road, right at the next footpath which brought us back to Town Green station. Hope to see you all soon- Brian
