What a difference a week makes. Last Sunday we were sleeveless. This week it was full weather proofs. However, the sun did try and 22 walkers covered 4 miles around the Giddygate Lane circuit from the station. Impressive considering the rainy start.
The 19th and biggest ‘open art’ exhibition is now on and well worth a visit. Entry is free at the Kirkby Gallery until Nov. 20th 2021

On Sunday Sep 26th 26 folk jumped trains to meet at Moreton station.
We covered the 4 miles to New Brighton along the ‘Wirral Way’ promenade and beach, where it was nice to see so many people out and about in glorious sunshine. In New Brighton we split up for lunch before returning to Maghull. Thanks to all for a great day out

Join us for our Christmas Lunch. We will start with a visit to the family owned Golden Days Garden Centre at Wrightington. This is well stocked with a wide variety of choice and will be decked out for all your Christmas requirements.Then we are off to the comfortable Astley Bank Hotel in Darwen for a delicious meal. This lovely Hotel is set in its’ own grounds and has an enviable reputation for good food. There is a good choice of menu. We can relax and enjoy a delicious meal in good company. This is our first Christmas get together for 2 years!
