Arrangements are in hand to take the lift to the top of St Johns Beacon for a 360 degree view of Liverpool and the surrounding area.
After which we will move to Dr Duncans , a fabulous and architecturally interesting public house on St Johns Lane where we will have private use of “the beautiful and historic tile room” where a buffet lunch will be served (a wide variety of drinks can be purchased at extra cost)
Members are to make their own way to St Johns Beacon (Time to be confirmed but in the morning)
Cost is £20 per member which includes entrance fees and lunch

To date I am only aware of one member who has previously advised me

Morecambe and Heysham trip 17th October 2024
I have one place available for the above trip , cost is £42 which includes all travel , coffee/tea on arrival at Morecambe Winter gardens , a tour of the recently refurbished theatre , afternoon tea , then to Heysham to visit Heritage Centre , Church and chapel and more

Christmas Lunch 13th December 2024
Will members who booked a place please visit the AFF desk and pay the required amount (£27)

I have given a number of members the “table layout for 3 nights” and the itinerary and luggage labels , a number of members have been requested to attend the coffee morning on Tuesday 17th September to pick up there documents
Members are to note that the coach leaves Maghull Square at 8.00am , members should arrive between 7.30am and 7.45am to have there luggage placed on board the coach
I have previously advised members that they should take with them suitable warm and waterproof clothing and suitable footwear as we are going to the top of Mount Snowden and the Great Orme

During part of the National Heritage Open Days , Saturday 14th September and Sunday 15th September , there are “guided tours of the church” and Prof. Peter Batey is giving a talk on “the development of Blundellsands” at the above Church , the church is open between 12 noon and 4.30pm an the talk is at 2.00pm
Members who wish to join the trip on either day are to text George on 07826 048379 providing which day they will attend , he will then advise the church on numbers attending on each day , refreshments will be available and members can make a donation if they so wish
