I have arranged to visit the Palm House in Sefton Park where we will have a guided tour and then tea/coffee and cake afterwards (£13 per member)

We will then either drive or walk to 25 Aigburth Drive (this is a Kadampa Temple like the one in Ulverston that we visited)  but not as ornate, as  this one  is housed  in a large house (£6 per member)

There will be a talk on the Buddhist Discipline that Kadampa follow, followed by a Meditation lasting approx. 1 hour

Members can either make their own way to the Palm House or take a return “taxi service” from Maghull Square (£10 per member)

Architecture for Fun/Wine Tasting . LOST KEYS

I placed a post on the website on 16th September requesting information as to whether any member had mistakenly picked up a set of keys from my desk or found them in the vicinity of the Baptist Church

To date I have had no response , there is a “metal AA tag” on the bunch of keys whereby , if the finder informs the AA , they will get a £10 reward

I would ask all members to search their belongings as someone may have taken the keys thinking that they were their own

Please call or text George on 07826 0482379 if you find the keys or alternatively please leave the keys with Darren in the Baptist Church office

THERE ARE 3 MEMBERS WHO HAVE NOT HANDED IN THERE “FIRST NIGHT MENU CHOICE” , THESE ARE REQUIRED IMMEDIATELY SO THAT THE HOTEL CAN BE INFORMED OF ALL “MEMBER CHOICES” , IF ANY MEMBER DOES NOT HAND IN THERE “MENU CHOICE” , THEY WILL HAVE TO ORGANISE THERE FIRST NIGHT DINNER CHOICES DIRECT WITH THE HOTEL

THERE ARE 17 MEMBERS WHO NEED TO COMPLETE THERE “HEALTHCARE INFORMATION FORM” , INSERT IT INTO THE “NAMED ENVELOPE” PROVIDED AND HAND IT TO GEORGE , THIS IS IMPORTANT SO AS TO HAVE THE INFORMATION AVAILABLE IN CASE OF A “MEDICAL EMERGENCY”  TO ANY MEMBER

IF ANY MEMBER NEEDS FURTHER INFORMATION OR CLARIFIACATION ON THE CONTENTS OF THE “TOUR PACK” GIVEN TO EACH MEMBER  , PLEASE SEE GEORGE AT THE WINE TASTING DESK

Members tour packages will be available at the wine tasting desk from 02/09 , these must be picked up and actioned ASAP

These will include detailed itinerary , luggage label , timed itinerary , Healthcare Information (this must be completed by each member , placed in the envelope provided , the envelope sealed and then handed to George for retention , NB this information will only be accessed in the case of a “medical emergency , the sealed  envelope will be handed back to each member on completion of the tour , the first nights menu , each member is to complete there choices and hand this to George ASAP so that the hotel can be advised and finally , a list of the wines that will be available for dinner (George has requested whether “wine by the glass” will be available)
