Walking Group March 2nd

walking

Thursday 2nd March, leaving from Maghull Station at 9:30 to Sandhills and onward to Formby or Freshfield depending on your choice of walk. Both will return to the Railway Pub at Formby.

The long walk will be approx. 8.5 miles and will start at Freshfield station.

The shorter walk will be about 5 miles and will start at Formby station.

Please note both walks will go through the nature reserve at Formby point. At the moment the reserve is partially closed due to the aftermath of storm Doris. Some trees are unsafe. We will not walk through heavily wooded areas but all walkers undertake the walk at their own risk and will be required to sign the waiver form prior to the walk. Footwear appropriate for sand and muddy paths is essential.

Web site news items

A new email address is now available for submitting ‘news’ items for inclusion in thenews various formats that we hope to have available in the future.

If you have any relevant news for the group please contact a member of the editing team or simply post to  mandlu3a@gmail.com

Please note that we are looking for news rather than group information. Information for groups should be posted to the web site by the relevant ‘group editor’.

If you would like to become an editor for your group then please contact admin using the email address above.  Lessons are available.

Pottery Group

Unfortunately, after making enquires on starting this group it has been decided it is not a feasible proposition at present.  The group would be quite small and to pay for equipment and hire of premises would be a considerable burden on the group.  No one has come forward who would be willing to give the level of input which the group would expect.  However, if someone with more experience was to come forward we could look at starting this group in the future.
