2 walks available, 4-5 miles or 8-9 miles. Both include rough terrain and stiles so good walking footwear is essential. Those taking the short walk can have lunch at the pub after the walk. Unfortunately the kitchen closes at 2pm so those taking the longer walk will need to bring a packed lunch.

REAL ALE GROUP – FIRST MEETING 2017 – LIVERPOOL

The Gardening – Practical group will start again on 6th February,10 o clock
at Maghull Parish Hall. This group has only just started, so are looking for new members to join. They have a plot of land at Hudson School if you would like to have a go at growing your own vegetables or flowers, or you can just come along and share ideas.

For February ONLY we will meet on Tuesday 7th due to a clash of dates.
February topic will be ‘The history of Liverpool cow-keepers’ presented by David Joy.
Subsequent meetings will be on the 2nd Monday monthly.
March 13th – Mr. Charlie Southern will continue with part 2 ‘brand names and history of Liverpool, Walton and Maghull shops’

A new six week course will start for this group on monday 13th February, The dates being:
February 13th, 20th and 27th
March 13th , 20th, and 27th
The price of the course will be £15, this will include tea and coffee at each meeting. Meetings will be held at St Andrews Parish Hall, opposite St Andrews Church on the corner of Damfield Lane and Deyes Lane.
The class is suitable for mixed abilities and complete beginners, all are welcome.
This is the second course for this group, the first took place before Christmas.
