Five get wet in Upholland!

Six actually but the weather caused one of our U3A Day Riders to cut the ride short. We set off from The Derby Arms, led by Mike Miller, in fine drizzle which progressively got heavier. Reaching our brew stop at The Fir Tree Cafe in St Helens, and after sanitising and providing contact and trace details, we enjoyed a hot drink whilst our clothes dripped on the floor. We cut the ride short which was a popular move and made our return journey. Despite the weather we enjoyed an excellent ride of 33 miles.

Next Monday 20th of July we will meet at Lydiate Village Hall at 1000hrs to ride along the canal bank to the dock road. From there we cross the waterfront and on to Otterspool and into Sefton Park. We will return along the Trans-Pennine Trail and Cheshire Lines path to Lydiate.
