NORDIC WALKING

FROM THE DARKNESS TO THE LIGHT

240_F_35432274_2QGWhUSvNh026Ct0Jkyu25fcbhrn77Y0[1]On Monday, 3rd April, 2017, we had our first evening walk of the year in the Lydiate area, having moved from Maghull, where we do our winter walking. We had a good attendance of 17 walkers and even welcomed two new walkers to the group. It was good to be back in the countryside of Lydiate, and it was a lovely sunny evening. Our 1 hr 30 min walk took us across a local horse race training course, through fields of yellow rapeseed, along the Leeds Liverpool canal tow path, country lanes and footpaths. It was very evident that spring had arrived at last. As we reached the end of the 3.6 mile walk, it started to rain a little, but not enough to bother us. As we finished our cooling down exercises and departed for home, it was getting dark. Everyone enjoyed the walk. It can only get better.

Happy Nordic Walking,

Ian
