Pedal Pushers break their target

When the group was formed in December, the Pedal Pushers (beginners cycle group), set a target of trying to complete a 10 mile cycle ride.  It was envisaged that this may take up to 6 months of riding due to the novices in the group.

Today, after only 15 weeks, the target was achieved as we completed a ride of 10.5 miles in a little over 2 hours.

Led today by Bill Ashton (Ross is away surfing!!!) we negotiated the canal cycle path from Litherland to Maghull via the Old Roan and Melling and returned once again via Jubilee Woods  to the leisure centre. There were a few tired legs when we completed the ride, but a lot of happy faces. Regrettably I forgot to take a photo, although with second thoughts maybe that was just as well due to the muddy state of us all at the finish!
