Easy Riders

Last week a group of Easy Riders tackled our longest ride to date – all of 25 miles! We took the train to Hooton on the Chester line. The first section took us along the Wirral way past the preserved railway station at Willaston and on to Parkgate where we we stopped for a coffee break.

Suitably refreshed we joined the Wirral Way  and continued to West. Kirby.  – 15 miles covered so far. Two members had to leave here but the rest of us carried on after a leisurely break down at the coast.

We then joined the coast route through Hoylake, Moreton, Leasowe and finally New Brighton. The head wind on the last leg made it very hard work and we realised we wouldn’t get to the ferry in time so had a short break before pushing our bikes up the hill to the station.

Great day out. John Ramsden
